New Hope Update - February 18, 2026

 Good Morning Friends!

I hope this message finds you well. We have been busy around New Hope Shelter, and I'm excited to share some updates with you!

First, if you haven’t checked out our new app yet, please take a moment to do so. Potential residents can apply directly through the app by simply providing a few key pieces of information and clicking submit. It’s that easy! The QR code is available on our website, making the application process more accessible than ever.

In addition, we have an exciting opportunity to purchase a much-needed bus. Kidron-Bethel has generously offered us one of their buses, which has only 29,000 miles, for $8,000. We are seeking to raise enough funds to cover new tires, insurance, and fuel for a year, bringing the total cost to less than $12,800. This bus will provide essential transportation for our residents to work, appointments, the rec center, and various outings. If you would like to contribute, please designate your gifts to “New Hope Bus.”

Starting soon, we will be hosting Sunday evening church services at New Hope, with area churches taking turns conducting the services. If your church wishes to be scheduled, please have a representative contact Tony Nave, our Shelter Manager.

We have so many great things happening at New Hope Shelter, and I will be providing monthly updates like this one! Expect to see these updates in your inbox around the middle of each month.

I would also like to take a moment to acknowledge Edee Buller-Breer, who has served as our Office Manager and Bookkeeper for many years. Edee has decided to retire and move to Oklahoma. Her meticulous attention to detail and stewardship of our resources has been a tremendous blessing to us, and she will be greatly missed!

We are pleased to welcome Susan Fuqua to our staff, who will be stepping into Edee’s role. Susan brings a wealth of experience and talent to New Hope, and we feel fortunate to have her onboard.

Thank you for your continued support and dedication to New Hope Shelter. Together, we can make a difference!

Warm regards,

Jay
