Community Programs & Worship: Gather, Grow, Serve

Strategy To Economic and Personal Stability

New Hope Shelter’s 90-day recovery program is designed to help residents take meaningful steps toward independence, dignity, and lasting change. Through compassionate guidance and practical support, participants work to obtain proper identification, pursue career-focused employment, and secure stable long-term housing — the essential building blocks for a renewed future.

More than a program, this is a pathway to hope. It equips individuals with the tools, support, and encouragement they need to move beyond crisis and toward personal and economic stability. Residents may also choose to participate in faith-based learning through Bridge to Hope, while knowing that these classes are always optional and never required.

For donors, volunteers, and community partners, this program represents an opportunity to invest in transformation that lasts. Every act of support helps create stronger futures, healthier communities, and new beginnings for those working hard to rebuild their lives.

Bridge To Hope

Bridge to Hope is New Hope Shelter’s long-term faith-based program created to help guests build a lasting foundation of faith in Jesus Christ. Through intentional discipleship, biblical teaching, and compassionate encouragement, this program invites individuals to experience spiritual renewal, discover their God-given purpose, and grow in the hope that transforms lives.

More than a curriculum, Bridge to Hope is a journey of restoration. It offers guests the opportunity to move beyond their circumstances and grow in a deeper understanding of who Jesus is, who God created them to be, and how faith can shape a new future. Rooted in the Christianity Explored curriculum, the program unfolds through four powerful phases of spiritual growth.

Phase 1: Christianity Explored guides participants through the Gospel of Mark, helping them encounter the life, ministry, and message of Jesus in a clear and personal way.

Phase 2: Hope Explored leads guests through essential truths about the Christian life, including what it means to have hope, how to discover peace in Christ, and how to live with renewed purpose.

Phase 3: Life Explored reveals the character of God, helping participants understand Him as good, trustworthy, generous, liberating, fulfilling, life-giving, and joyful.

Phase 4: Discipleship Explored encourages believers to grow in confidence and maturity as lifelong followers of Christ. Drawing from the writings of Paul, this phase shows how true joy can flourish in every season, regardless of circumstance.

Each class session includes a short video and thoughtful discussion around homework, creating space for participants to engage deeply with Scripture and uncover the rich truths found in God’s Word. In this supportive setting, guests are encouraged to ask questions, grow in understanding, and take meaningful steps in their walk with Christ.

For donors, volunteers, and community partners, Bridge to Hope is an opportunity to invest in transformation that reaches far beyond immediate need. Your support helps create space for healing, discipleship, and lasting spiritual growth. By coming alongside this program, you help make it possible for men and women to encounter hope, build faith, and discover a stronger future grounded in Christ.
